It’s about that time of the year again when the family all comes round and there’s great food, wine and even better memories made. We love this time of the year, it is full of festivities, almost like Christmas but with fewer large sit down meals and more snacks. This is why our baked Camembert cheese with Koeksister Apricot and Cashew Relish is always a must-have. It’s super easy and quick to make but has that, “I-thought-long-and-hard-about-this-dish” feel — which is great because the family loves the effort! There’s just something magical about indulging in a warm, baked Camembert with a slightly sweet dressing. So use up those crackers you’ve had in the cupboard or buy some fresh bread. It is Easter after all and its time to treat your taste buds too.
Serves 8 as snack
Take 1 La Petit France Camembert cheese, unwrap it and place it in a small serving bowl that can go in the oven.
Spoon over ¼ of a jar of Sprigs’ Koeksister Apricot and Cashew Relish.
Bake @180 °C for 15 minutes or until the Camembert cheese is soft when lightly touched.
Serve with a selection of Sprigs’ Swedish crackers, crusty bread, cucumber sticks and carrot sticks. This is great pairing for a pre-dinner drink, part of a finger-food lunch spread or served after dinner instead of pudding.
