Its a fruity time of year, there is a large variety of fruit to choose from in the shops and at the markets. We've loved having the chance to mix and match some flavours for our curds, which we sell in the deli. With four flavours to choose from, you might wonder what on earth you could use them all for, well we are here to help ease your mind and treat your taste buds!
Lets start with the "oh so good" traditional Lemon curd- We suggest swirling some curd into a bit of our "greek gourmet" yoghurt, and then spoon some on to cocktail pavlova bases and top with fresh raspberries or any other yummy berry to garnish.
Second on our list we have our "healthier option" Sugar Free Lemon curd- This is perfect for your yoghurt and muesli in the morning. Adding that sweet and tangy goodness but with the luxury of being sugar free. So giving it to your kids is great because you don't have to worry about them bouncing off the walls on a sugar high.
Next is our "devilishly delicious" Mango and Passion Fruit curd- This is perfect for adding a little twist to a cake. Instead of using the traditional butter cream icing, you could add it to cream cheese and use this instead. We must say though, it does look rather elegant dripping down the sides of a cake as is.
And last but not least we have our "vibrant" Passion Fruit and Red Current curd- This curd is an absolute treat! So if you are wanting to spoil someone special or wow your guest for breakfast, this is just the thing to use. There is nothing more spectacular than hot french toast served with Passion Fruit and Red Current curd topped with toasted coconut shavings. It has the perfect balance of tangy and sweet. This is a breakfast not to be forgotten.
