Berries come in all shapes and sizes and are jam packed with healthy properties. Strawberries, raspberries, Logan berries, blackberries, blueberries, the list goes on…. Loaded with vitamins, antioxidants, and flavonoids, berries are naturally sweet, heart-healthy carbohydrates that are delicious on their own or with proteins or healthy fats.
A simple serving suggestion would be to serve up a nice bowl of double thick Gourmet Greek yoghurt with a generous helping of beautiful berries and a swirl of honey. Berries make amazing jams and conserves; we do stock a variety of these in store if you aren’t brave enough to make your own. We have Berry medley, Raspberry, Strawberry and Youngberry jam. Ideally served up on a warm scone or slice of health toast, you can’t go wrong. Yummy!!
Berries are very versatile and make a beautiful garnish on cakes or sweet treats with a little sprig of mint and a dusting of icing sugar. We recommend Pavlova bases with a dollop of cream, curd and berries as a super tasty and easy to prepare dessert. Everyone will love it!
Coffee berries are the little bright red fruit in the pictures above, most people don’t ever get to see what they look like.
